Update #2 – Monday 3/31/2025
Words can’t express how grateful we are for everyone’s kindness and patience over the weekend as the hard work of recovery got underway. At this time, we are optimistic that only Sections A and C of the building were affected by water. We are also relieved that even in these two Sections, a large majority of customers experienced little or no water damage. At the same time, we are saddened and sorry that a few of you were hit hard.
Thankfully we have yet to find any indication that Section B was affected by water. However, if you have a unit that backs up to the shared wall between B and C, we encourage you to inspect your unit as a precaution.
We heard two common questions this weekend:
What’s Next?
We can’t thank everyone enough for your patience and cooperation. Your timely assistance in inspecting and addressing any water in your units has greatly helped us expedite recovery efforts. As a small gesture of appreciation, we will not be charging rent for the month of April in any Sections of the facility.

Update #1 – Friday 3/28/2025
We are very grateful for your patience as we navigate this challenging ordeal. This is a difficult situation, and we sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience this has caused. Our monitoring service notified us yesterday evening of a fire event at our McMinnville property. After ensuring the structure was safe, the Fire Dept allowed us to inspect the building late last night.
Thankfully our facility is equipped with a sprinkler system that quickly extinguished the fire, and this is almost exclusively a water and smoke remediation effort. We have already engaged a restoration company, and they began water removal and smoke remediation earlier this afternoon.
While we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our tenants, unfortunately, this fire was a tragic event beyond our control. We do not know the content, nor the value of individual storage units and they are not covered by our facility’s insurance policy. As outlined in our rental agreement, it is recommended that tenants obtain personal insurance for the contents of their units to protect against such events.
Police are also continuing to investigate what started the fire. As a result, we unfortunately have to restrict the building to “Supervised Access” until next Tuesday, April 1st. We have been advised evidence collection should be complete by that time and normal access hours will likely resume afterwards.
Next Steps:
As we continue to diligently work through this recovery effort we will communicate additional next steps as promptly and efficiently as possible. Please know we have over 250 customers at Durham St so we greatly appreciate your patience.
